Riyadh “The garden city”

Riyadh is located on the great limestone plateau of najd in the Central Region, The name Riyadh, appropriately, means” Gardens ” as the city lies near the fertile bed of the hanifah  Valley, famous for its vast date palm groves.

Jeddah

Known variously as the Paris of Arabia and the bride of the Red sea , Jeddah is one of the few cities in the region to have grown organically from humble and ancient origins.

Saudi Arabia has the longest coastline on the red sea, stretching from the Gulf of Aqaba to the Yemeni border. With water so crystal clear and sunlight so bright that it penetrates to unbelievable depths.

Madain Saleh City of rock dwellings

This area of windswept plains was  a strategic point along the ancient ‘spice route’ Here you will see spectacular rock tombs carved between 100 BC and 100 AD.

South of taif is abha famous for having the highest point in the Arabian peninsula.

Al- Jouf

The most ancient site in the kingdom

From time immemorial the northern city of Al- Jouf has been an important center of the Arabian tradition of training falcon for sport and hunting, the surrounding region contains the kingdom’s most ancient site.

Taif “The summer capital”

People come to taif principally to escape Jeddah’s heat and humidity during the summer months , but the scenery is a marvelous sight all year round.

There are n numerous and distinct desert regions in the kingdom the nejd, the Nafud ,the Jebel Tuwaiq, the dahna and the mighty rub Al Khali to name a few.For all you four-wheel-enthusiasts these various type of unspoilt  terrain are  a kind of paradise.

Hofus,the worlds largest oasis

The city of Hofuf  is the capital of Al- Hasa, the largest  oasis in the world.this enormously fertile area can clime to have been settled for longer than any other part of the kingdom.

 

 

Najran

Set on a sprawling oasis, this area has been inhabited for 4000 years is full of ancient sites and souks ,the most extraordinary being the 5-story al-aan palace on top of the mountain overlooking najran.
